Willow.
The oldest of the pets is Willow. She's lived with Amanda
since 2000--that's a few years longer than Brent! Willow is
named after a character on the TV series Buffy. She
likes lettuce, ice cream, mealtime, being on the back porch, and her
stuffed penguin, Linus. She hates to have her belly rubbed.
Weighing in at
17 pounds, she's our Willow! |

Luna.
Joining the family in 2008, Luna was named after the Harry
Potter character, Luna Lovegood. She was living at the
Coles County Animal Shelter when we first met her. She was, by
far, the most unattractive cat at the shelter. We knew immediately that she should come
with us. She cleaned up nicely and has made a perfect addition
to the household. Luna enjoys bedtime, being in the loft, and
playing with Poe. She hates to be groomed. |

Poe.
Adopted in 2008, Poe (named after Edgar Allan Poe) is a parrotlet, the second smallest species of parrot. He enjoys
Italian music, sunflower seeds, millet, and lots of attention.
He antagonizes the cats and then bites them on the noses.
Poe doesn't like being alone or ignored. When asked to "dance
like daddy," Poe stands on one leg. |

Molly. Molly was adopted in
2010. She was named after Molly Weasley. Not
only does Molly think she's a cat, she thinks she's the
leader of the clowder. She's even litter trained
(...well, 99% of the time). She enjoys
cranberries, alfalfa, and terrorizing anything that
breathes. |

Chi. Initially a classroom pet, we became too
attached to Chi to let him stay at school on weekends.
So he started coming home on Fridays. Then he started coming
home more and more often. Now he's a permanent
resident at our house. Chi loves snacks of all
kinds. And his belly shows it. He also likes
dust baths and his exercise wheel. He doesn't
like Molly. |
